General Overview:
As an IFSYS-Service Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring proper task management in order to achieve outstanding customer satisfaction. Our IFSYS- Service Technician is in charge of taking care of all customer support tickets in various customer facilities but also at our shop. Installation, assembly, run-off, buy-off and evaluation, setup, repair-support, customer training and problem solving or optimizing of equipment are part of the responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
- Perform customer support tasks,
- Travel to customer facilities (>20% travel)
- Perform all on-site activities related to installation, repair, optimization, maintenance and training at customer facilities
- Must be able to read mechanical, electrical and pneumatic schematics
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and pneumatic equipment
- Identify all issues and problems, suggest and implement solutions to repair as soon as possible
- Perform mechanical, electrical repairs and fabrication.
- Present Service Reports to IFSYS-Management and customers on progress as well as problems and solutions
- Plan and deal with Purchasing/Project Manager when necessary.
- Commissioning and acceptance of machinery/equipment
- Run off, buy off of machinery/equipment
- Repair-support and warranty solving of machinery/equipment/parts
- Perform shop activities related to assembly, part manufacturing, part machining
- Perform maintenance and care activities of machinery, whole facility and property at IFSYS
- Operate vehicle in a safe manner + Good driving record
- Adhere to IFSYS’s and customer’s given rules and regulations + pass drug test
- Team up with colleagues and other team members
- Build relationships and trust with customers, clients and colleagues at our headquarters in Germany
- Ability to visit IFSYS headquarters in Germany for training
- Ability to visit customers in North America
- Working knowledge of PLC’s.
- Maintain machine, secondary equipment, in optimizing process and design.
- Track and maintain inventory levels in maintenance.
- Implement activities for cost savings and better machine and secondary equipment utilization.
- Other duties as needed
- Knowledge of Automated parts feeding Systems a plus
Educational and Experience:
- Experience as a Service Technician
- Theoretical and practical machinery knowledge
- Mechanical and electrical experience in machinery or assembly machinery
- Great educational background, preferably in the fields of mechanics
- Good educational background, preferably in the fields of electrics
- Experience with managing and preserving technical equipment
- Knowledge of mechanic and electric techniques and tools
- Solid technical background, with understanding or hands-on experience in machinery/equipment and their design
- Experience in parts/spare parts manufacturing
- Must have knowledge in SolidWorks
- Must have experience in SolidCam
